Abstract: The need for students to learn online continues to increase. Many students report feeling unprepared, lacking the skills and confidence to succeed. Efforts are needed to bridge a student’s transition from traditional learning environments to online. We developed Thrive Online, an asynchronous short course aimed to increase students’ knowledge, skills, attitudes, and self-efficacy to learn online. A pilot study evaluated the impact of Thrive Online with a sample of 28 students, with results reporting promising data this course can support students’ successful transition to online learning.
