dc.description.abstractDesigning technologies that enhance formative assessment in e-learning is crucial for improving teaching and learning in these environments. Whereas many studies have examined the effectiveness of formative assessment in traditional classroom contexts, researchers have only recently begun to explore technology-enhanced assessment. To understand how we can take advantage of existing social media tools to support e-learning, we describe a Facebook app called FARGO that offers potential to support teachers and students with assessment for learning.en_US
