This meta-analytic study aimed to examine stability and change in the relationship between achievement goals and transfer of training, using a 2 2 goal framework (mastery and performance orientation, approach and avoidance motivation). Data consisted of cumulated correlation estimates extracted from k 28 studies (N 4,3 4) from research of the past 25 years. The results provide evidence for the presence of temporal dynamics. Implications for theory and practice are addressed.en_US
