|Abstract:||This paper uses a case study approach to explore the science teaching identity of Soren, a participant in a multi-year professional development program (PD). We found that shifts in Soren’s identity resulted from the combination of competencein rethinking science, recognition from others, and performance of different ways of teaching.|
